Mike is a graduate of the Brinkman-Froemming Umpire School. He was worked in the Northern, Prairie, and Can-Am leagues. Mike has also worked in the Pacific Association. Mike is currently the Umpire-In-Chief for one of the largest private tournament baseball companies in California. Passionate about the game of baseball, when not umpiring Mike is coaching Pony Baseball in Orinda, California. Mike still fills in when needed for Minor League Baseball's California. His last fill in assignment was in San Jose, CA in April 2015. 

Mike was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  He currently resides in Pittsburg, California.
